The Be the Change Social Work scholarship was started by regional social workers and is funded in part each year by their registration fees and donations at the annual Joplin Professional Social Workers seminar. This scholarship is awarded to students admitted into the Social Work program with a minimum GPA of 2.75, and preference is given first-generation college students. The Allan Craig Stephens scholarship is awarded to students accepted into the Social Work major (SW-01) with a focus on Autism Spectrum population in their Field Education practicum and/or completion of autism related courses or certificates.
