Welcome to the University Police Department at Missouri Southern State University. Our goal is to provide helpful information so students, employees, parents, and visitors can enjoy a safe and positive experience on campus.
MSSU partners with the Joplin Police Department (JPD) for dispatch services. For non-emergency incidents such as thefts, traffic accidents, or assaults, call 417-623-3131 (JPD Communications) and a UPD officer will be dispatched. For service needs like vehicle unlocks, jump starts, building access, parking issues, or safety programs, call 417-626-2222.
