The Plaster School of Business centers helps forge connections with the Southwest Missouri community. Our team of professional staff and faculty conduct research, provide business counseling, customized business training, and continuing education to foster partnerships. Our Centers work with Academic Programs to create program offerings.

Center of Entrepreneurship


The Missouri Southern State Unviersity Center for Entrepreneurship core mission is to channel the creative vitality of our students and merge it with the skills honed at the Plaster School of Business. Graduates from our program evolve into not only entrepreneurs but also creators of job opportunities and community leaders.

Small Business Development Center


The Missouri SBDC at Missouri Southern State University is part of a nationwide network of SBDC programs and is affiliated with and supported by The Robert W. Plaster College of Business Administration. Our local center was established in April 1987. The SBDC provides existing and start-up small businesses in Jasper, Newton, Barton, Vernon, McDonald, Cedar, Dade, and Lawrence counties with consulting and training.
