The Center for Entrepreneurship

The Center for Entrepreneurship

The Missouri Southern State University Center for Entrepreneurship core mission is to channel the creative vitality of our students and merge it with the skills honed at the Plaster School of Business. Graduates from our program evolve into not only entrepreneurs but also creators of job opportunities and community leaders.

The driving force & central hub for student entrepreneurial activity

At MSSU, students enrolled in entrepreneurship programs will cultivate entrepreneurial competencies and apply related concepts across diverse professional settings. The overarching goal is to help students uncover their inherent entrepreneurial potential and integrate it into their lifelong pursuits.

For those aspiring to launch businesses, the major provides exposure to fundamental principles, conceptual tools, skills, and implementation issues essential for translating business ideas into viable and profitable ventures. Within this program, students explore the creative aspects of identifying and evaluating business ideas, acquiring a unique skill set for establishing entrepreneurial enterprises, and honing the ability to collaborate with local community resources and mentors. Additionally, students can refine their business concepts and embark on new ventures using the resources available on campus. Students are urged to leverage the resources offered by the Missouri Small Business Development Center at MSSU.
