As a parent, you may be feeling just as excited (or nervous) as your first-year student. This is a big step for both of you. Your child is growing up and becoming independent.
College is a time of many transitions. Students learn more about themselves, the world around them, and the person they want to become.
At the Student Success Center, it is our job to help this transition go as smoothly as possible, for both you and your student. You both may feel very confused at first. There is a lot to learn about college life! Parents are encouraged and welcome to attend Southern Kickoff, move-in, and convocation.
Hopefully by the end of the first semester, you will feel informed, and your student will feel comfortable at Missouri Southern.
