Outstanding Graduate Award

Outstanding Graduate Award Honors Top Missouri Southern Senior

Established in 1972, the Missouri Southern Outstanding Graduate Award is presented each spring to a graduating senior by the Missouri Southern State University Alumni Association.

The award recognizes a student who has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and made significant contributions to the university and the broader community. It is presented annually during the Honors Convocation and celebrates the accomplishments of Missouri Southern’s most distinguished graduate.

Outstanding Graduate Nomination Process

Recipients of departmental Outstanding Graduate awards are automatically nominated for the university-wide Outstanding Graduate Award. Nomination materials are collected from a variety of sources to ensure a comprehensive review.

The Alumni Awards Committee—composed of members of the Alumni Board and university faculty—reviews all nominations and recommends finalists to the Missouri Southern State University Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Nominees must demonstrate strong character, be well respected by peers and faculty, and show evidence of leadership both on campus and in the community. They should also have participated in a range of campus activities and maintained an above-average GPA.
