Southern Safari

Southern Safari is open to alumni, friends of MSSU, community members, and retired faculty and staff—anyone eager to explore the world and experience new cultures. Occasionally, members of the International Society of Weekly Newspaper Editors join the trips.

Since its inaugural voyage to Italy in 2015, Southern Safari has traveled to Cuba, London, Scotland, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Spain, and Iceland.

“The trip was just right for us – great people, great options for group activities, time to strike out on our own – it was a perfect fit!,” said Anita Tally, who went with her husband, Craig, on the London trip.

Travelers range in age from 25 to 80—everyone is welcome!
