Registration/Scheduling:
To register for the POST exam, you'll need to contact the specific law enforcement agency or training academy in your area. For Missouri, you will need to contact the Department of Public at https://dps.mo.gov/dir/programs/post/licensing.php
Where to test:
Missouri Southern State University offers POST exam proctoring. We are located in Webster Hall, room 117. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your exam time to get checked in.
What to Bring:
You must bring a valid Government Photo ID and your receipt showing you paid for your exam. You can pay the proctor fee for your exam at the Bursars Office in Hearns Hall or you can call 417-625-9381 and pay over the phone.
Exam information:
The Police Officer Selection Test (POST) assesses basic skills needed for law enforcement, focusing on math, reading comprehension, grammar, and report writing. It's designed to gauge your aptitude for the job and predict success in training. The exam is about 70 to 90 minutes. The results will be sent automatically to the law enforcement agency you sign up through.
