MSSU welcomes new students during to campus on Move-In Day

Residence Life was loud, crowded, and nearing triple-digit heat as students eagerly moved on to campus for the new school year at MSSU.

Freshmen await what lies ahead of them at the university.

“I’m looking forward to meeting new people and having fun,” said Neveda native Molly Remington. “I’m majoring in dental hygiene, and I’m excited to live far enough away from home.”

Micah Snider from Valparaiso, Ind. is thrilled to begin softball season.

“I’m ready to meet the rest of my team and have fun with them,” the business major said. “The girls are so sweet, and there are a lot of nice people on campus.”

Junior Sierra Horner anticipates truly exploring her major.

“I’ve only taken my prerequisites,” the elementary education major explained. “so I’m ready to begin my education journey with major-specific classes.”

Even RAs are ready to get to know their residents this semester.

“I'm interested in seeing what clubs they join and sports they play,” said Aubrey Costello.

“We’re looking forward to everything running smoothly,” fellow RA Cooper Burks added.

Director of Student Life Madyson Fox expressed her joy for students returning to MSSU.

“I’m excited to see all the students back on campus,” she said. “I’m looking forward to seeing them grow and thrive in their new environment.”
