Graduating Student Highlight: Kylee Sill

The world will gain another problem solver when Kylee Sill graduates from Missouri Southern this Saturday.

She had always heard good things about the university while growing up in Diamond.

“I toured campus with some informational sessions during my senior year of high school,” said Sill. “That helped me decide that MSSU was the place I wanted to attend.”

Sill’s time at MSSU proved to be an excellent decision and great experience. She will graduate with not just two degrees but three from the Plaster School of Business—she triple-majored in Accounting, Human Resource Management, and Management.

“I started as an accounting major and realized I wanted to work towards being able to get my CPA, so I was looking towards double majors. I also loved my management class, so I looked at both HR and management. It has given me a lot of variety in what I have learned and the classes I have taken.”

In addition to academics, Sill is a member of several student organizations. She served as a member of the Plaster School of Business (PSB) Student Advisory Board, executive committee member of Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and president of Accounting Club.

“I have truly enjoyed Accounting Club,” she shared. “It was an excellent opportunity to learn more about the industry. It has been wonderful to help these events as president this year and learn what others are interested in hearing.”

She was also a part of the Global Leaders program and participated in the planning of the Business Gateway event.

“Global Leaders offered a lot of events and opportunities for me, and being a part of organizing Business Gateway was a great opportunity to have real-life experience in management and planning.”

Sill has also been honored as one of PSB’s Outstanding Graduates in both Accounting and Management at the 2025 Academic Recognition Ceremony.

After graduation, Sill will transition from an intern at Leggett and Platt to a full-time staff tax accountant at the company.

“My experience at the Plaster School of Business has been great,” she said. “I have a lot of amazing professors, and I received many wonderful opportunities. I'm happy I made this decision.”
