Master of Business Administration (MBA)

An MBA builds your existing knowledge to take you from early career positions to management and executive level positions. An MBA can also be useful for aspiring entrepreneurs. MSSU’s MBA will help you develop the ability to accurately analyze complex situations and large amounts of information to effectively manage corporate business units and small businesses alike.

MSSU’s MBA Program

MBA graduates with specializations in areas such as data analytics, human resources, or healthcare may be in higher demand as they signal expertise to prospective employers. MSSU’s MBA provides students the opportunity to specialize in data analytics, human resource management, management, healthcare management, or education. Our curriculum of 10 courses (30 credit hour) contains 6 MBA Core business courses and 4 specialization courses.

Program Flexibility

Pursuing a master's degree is a significant commitment. Our MBA program design offers flexibility with completion tracks geared towards working professionals in 24 months or there is an option to complete in as few as 12 months. Instructors will deliver weekly lectures live online while in a physical classroom. You can attend in person, plug in live online, and either way can view recorded lectures later. MSSU’s innovative course delivery options allow you to pursue your educational goals while meeting the demands of career, family, and the many other competing interests of your time.

Admissions Requirements

The MBA is open to applicants holding a Bachelor of Business Administration from a regionally accredited college or university or recognized equivalent international university, with a cumulative 2.75 GPA (or higher).

In addition, documentation of ONE of the following:

  • 3.25 cumulative GPA in a Bachelor of Business Administration degree
  • 2 years of full-time work experience
  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a 3.0 GPA (or higher).
  • Minimum score of 500 on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Records Examination (GRE) equivalent.

Applicants with a non-business undergraduate degree or non-accredited business degree: Applicants need to complete the following seven prerequisite courses. MSSU provides leveling courses that can each be completed in just a few weeks. Alternatively, these can be taken as traditional courses at MSSU, another regionally accredited college/university, or recognized equivalent international university. Prerequisite courses are to be completed with equivalent to a 2.75 GPA. Completion of all prerequisite courses is required prior to beginning MBA courses.

MBA Healthcare Management concentration admission requirements for applicants with a non-healthcare undergraduate degree: Applicants may be required to complete healthcare administration prerequisite courses with equivalent to a 2.75 GPA prior to beginning MBA courses.

MBA Education concentration admission requirements for students with a non-education undergraduate degree: There are no prerequisite courses prior to taking Education courses but admission will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Conditional Admission: An applicant who does not fully meet the requirements for admission as a regular graduate student, at the discretion of the Program Director, may be allowed to enroll in the graduate program under a conditional acceptance status.
