Financial Aid Suspension Appeal Procedure

Total withdrawal from all classes automatically:

  1. Terminates all Federal Title IV aid (Pell, SEOG, Perkins loans, Stafford loans, and Plus loans) and
  2. Places the student on financial aid suspension (not academic suspension).

Federal Title IV aid will not be reinstated until:

  • Satisfactory Progress according to the catalog is reached and/or
  • Credit hour deficiencies are completed.

Students may appeal the suspension of aid by completing the Suspension Appeal Application, if applicable, and including documentation for medical reasons or extenuating circumstances. The Director of Student Financial Support Services or the Financial Aid Committee will review all Suspension Appeal Applications. After reviewing the appeal, the Director or the Financial Aid Committee may place the student on Financial Aid Probation or Financial Aid Suspension.

The decisions made by the Director of Student Financial Support Services and the Financial Aid Committee are final.
