Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) is inviting the community to campus Dec. 4, 2025, for its annual Holiday Happenings celebration, a free public event featuring an expanded lineup of seasonal activities and live entertainment. The event is scheduled from 2 to 8 p.m. on the MSSU campus at 3950 E. Newman Road in Joplin.
Throughout the afternoon and evening, guests can take photos with Santa, shop at the Holiday Maker’s Market showcasing handmade goods from local artisans, and enjoy a series of musical performances by MSSU student ensembles.
The event will also offer a variety of seasonal activities, including carriage rides and guided tours of the campus mansion, which will be decorated for the holidays. Regional food trucks will serve hot beverages and traditional holiday treats.
Parking is free and available across campus. The event is open to all ages.
