Bachelor Degrees

MSSU Online offers a variety of undergraduate degrees and certificates to help you find your potential without ever stepping foot on campus. If your life makes attending traditional college classes impossible, then consider one of the following online degree programs.

 

Bachelor of Applied Science 

 The Bachelor of Applied Science is a degree completion offered to online students who transfer into Missouri Southern with an Associate of Science or Associate of Applied Science degree from a community college to complete an undergraduate degree that will facilitate their employment.  This degree program is designed to enhance and continue the area of specialization chosen in the associate's degree, the student will enroll in courses that will prepare them to compete for entry management positions.

Bachelor of General Studies (Degree Completion or Interdisciplinary)

 The Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) is an alternative for students who do not wish to pursue an existing major. You can use your existing college credits with MSSU or transfer in credits from another accredited institution and create a program that fits your interests and career goals. Perfect for those already working in industry with college credits and would like to finish a college degree for advancement.  This degree can be combined with any of the online minors offered through MSSU Online.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree (BSBA) provides students with the broadest possible background to graduate in preparation for managerial positions in both the private and public sectors. Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration

  The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration degree prepares students for careers in the criminal justice system and related professions, including law enforcement, juvenile justice, corrections, law, and private or industrial security. Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health & Safety

The Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health  & Safety, is one of only 28 EHAC nationally accredited programs. Environmental health is the science of protection the environment and our public health and safety. Bachelor of Science in Health Science - Dental Hygiene (Degree Completion)

The Bachelor of Science in Health Science-Dental Hygiene  is a degree completion program offered to online students who transfer into Missouri Southern with an Associates of Science in Dental Hygiene. The Missouri Southern State University Dental Hygiene Program has been continually accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation since its inception. The most recent CODA site visit occurred in December 2009.

Bachelor of Science in Health Science - Respiratory Therapy (Degree Completion)

 The Bachelor of Science in Health Science-Respiratory Therapy  is a degree completion program offered to online students who transfer into Missouri Southern with an Associates of Science Respiratory Therapy. The Respiratory Care Program is designed to prepare students to be employed in the hospital, clinic, laboratory, and alternate care settings such as the patient’s home. Respiratory care practitioners perform a variety of clinical, diagnostic, and management functions in these settings.

Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences - Radiology (Degree Completion)

The Bachelor of Science in Health Science-Radiology is a degree completion program offered to online students who transfer into Missouri Southern with an Associates of Science- Radiology degree and who are already registered technologists. The coursework in this program is designed for those students to add to their current education and credentials, leading to completion of the B.S. in Health Science-Radiology degree. With the addition of computers, ultrasound, magnetic fields and radio waves, the radiologic technologist emerges into a growing field of computerized tomography, digital radiography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound. These new techniques are coupled with basic skill development in radiologic positioning and radiographic technique selection. Radiologic technologists are in demand in rural and urban areas. Positions are available in hospitals, clinics, industry, public health services, and doctors’ offices.

Bachelor of Science in Health Science - Paramedic Program (Degree Completion)

 The Bachelor of Science in Health Science-Paramedic  is a degree completion program offered to online students who transfer into Missouri Southern with an Associates of Science Paramedic.EMS is a young, ever changing profession. As the field advances through research technology, practitioners must reexamine practices and redefine new ways to administer emergency medical services. Additionally, EMS leaders and managers are constantly adapting and re-adapting to new polices, regulations, standards of care, and human resource challenges, which requires the use of advanced analytical, rhetorical, and research skills. Moreover, there is increasing pressure for EMS chiefs and executives to hold a Master’s in Public Administration, Public Health, or Business Administration. With a Bachelor of Science in Health Science-Paramedic,aspiring EMS leaders will be poised to take lead and/or earn their master’s degree.
