Study Abroad in South Korea

Summer School in Seoul, South Korea

MSSU can send up to six students to the Hansung International Summer School in Seoul, South Korea. Most of the details can be found here.

The program begins on June 26, 2025, and ends on July 23, 2025. Previous MSSU students who have attended say the activities and field trips are incredible. (If you click on that tab on the link above, it references the 2018 field trips and activities, but they will be very similar in 2025.)

Because MSSU is an exchange partner with Hansung University, the cost would be only 250,000 KRW (less than $200 U.S. at the current exchange rate), the flight to Seoul, and spending money to cover the meals that are not included and other incidental/personal expenses. You would also pay for four hours of MSSU tuition so that you could receive four hours of academic credit this summer.

If you have at least a 2.5 GPA and full-time status, you can apply for a $1,000 study abroad grant to help offset the cost of the flight to Seoul. The Hansung International Summer School is one of MSSU’s most affordable study abroad programs.

The next step is for you to fill out the attached application form and return it to Dr. Bill Fischer at fischer-w@mssu.edu. If you don’t have a passport already, you would need to apply for one immediately and pay the extra fee to have it expedited.
