Upcoming Opportunities to Connect with Students & Alumni

Community Day

Offered as a "thank you" for your continued support of Missouri Southern, Community Day marks the first chance to reach out to the campus community and introduce them to what your organization has to offer.  We hope you will join us as we welcome 900 new students, 4,500 returning students and hundreds of faculty and staff members to campus for the first week of class!

Take full advantage of the event!  Bring giveaway items, food samples, and/or coupons.  Popular items have included: T-shirts , bottled water, coupons, ice-cream and sandwiches. Interactive games are also encouraged. We only ask that you limit your booth to free items, and not bring anything to sell. 

Are you hiring?  Need volunteers?  Bring flyers and applications to pass out during the event.  Don't forget, you can also post positions free-of-charge to the Hire a Lion job network at any time.

Reserve your spot today!  $25 registration fee includes one table and two folding chairs.  $200 Sponsor level includes premium table placement and company logo on event marketing materials and webpage.  Vendor registration must be received by August 14th for standard registration.  Sponsor registration must be received by August 7th to be included in print materials or by August 14th to receive premium table placement and website advertisement.  Space is limited, log in to Hire a Lion at mssu.edu/career under the employer tab on the left to register or call 417-625-9343.

We strongly encourage you to bring a pop up canopy as shade is limited. Electricity is available on a limited basis upon request.  Please bring your own 200-foot extension cord if your booth requires power.

Networking 101 presented by MSSU & Young Professionals Network

Students learn how to successfully navigate business dinners and networking events. Volunteers will be on hand to share networking tips. 

Education Career Fair

Sponsor Registration includes a 6-foot table, complimentary lunch, and inclusion on the following promotional materials: emails to students and alumni, MSSU Career Services webpage, and the event program.*

Standard Registration includes a 6-foot table and complimentary lunch.
Non K-12 and Educational Supply Stores : $50
K-12 School Systems: $0 (no charge)

All planning to attend the Education Career Fair are invited to join us for a complimentary lunch presentation from 11:30-12:30.  A semi-private interview room will be available during the fair on a first-come, first-serve basis.

MSSU Career Cram

The Career Cram offers a fun and fast-paced environment for students to fine-tune their skills before the career fair. Stations include mock interviews, resume critique, how to tie a tie, networking, and many more. Volunteers will man a station to meet students in a casual environment and share career-related advice.

Spring Career Fair

Sponsor Registration: $250
Sponsorship builds brand recognition with students and alumni. Sponsor level registration includes a 6 or 8 foot table, 2 complimentary lunches, company logo in event program and on website, company information listed on banners, posters, and on video screen during the fair, and all event promotion on campus.  

Standard Registrations:
Standard registration  includes a 6 or 8 foot table, complimentary lunch, and program and website listing.
Business & Industry $150 
Graduate School Recruitment $150
Government and Nonprofit $100

Additional lunches are available for $15 per lunch.
