JOPLIN, MO (SNS) – Teachers and students and alumni in the School of Education at Missouri Southern State University now have another avenue for career success and professional development.
MSSU has been selected to receive a one year’s grant to the SimpleK12 Teacher Learning Community.
The grant will consist of a 12 months’ free access to the group’s online Teachers Learning Community for all faculty, undergraduate and graduate students from the School of Education at MSSU.
The grant period will begin Sept. 1, 2012 and run thru Aug. 31, 2013.
“It is our hope that all of your faculty members, undergraduate education students and your alumni from the education college will become members, and actively use the resources we provide said Tom Dalton of SimpleK. “
“Our online portal for teachers contains well over 500 hours of self-paced training on technology, over 300 recorded webinars (and 500 more live ones in 2012) on technology subjects for teachers and administrators, and access to thousands of global teachers to collaborate with and share teaching resources.”
The School of Education at Missouri Southern is comprised of three departments: Teacher Education, Kinesiology and Psychology. Students from all three areas can benefit from the grant.
SimpleK12 has developed a special Missouri Southern member enrollment web page, allowing members to easily enroll and access resources in the Teacher Learning Community
