Music Department's ONSTAGE Thursday, November 17

2011 OnstageJOPLIN, MO (SNS) - The MSSU Music Department at Missouri Southern State University will present ONSTAGE  at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17 in Corley Auditorium inWebster Hall at MSSU. 

Under the direction of Dr. Susan K. Smith, Mr. Marvin Murphree, and Mr. Larry Stotsbery, this annual entertaining event will showcase the talents of 40 voice majors and minors in staged scenes from Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado and Princess Ida, Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro and The Impresario, plus The Merry Wives of Windsor and The Telephone

Musical theatre songs such as Razzle Dazzle, Broadway Baby, and I Hate Musicals, and others from Spamalot, Chicago, and Mamma Mia! and more will reveal the world of music and theatre, and the colorful characters that inhabit it. 

The event is free and open to the public.
