Off-Campus Instruction in English -

From time to time, when groups of 10+ students want to meet at a distance from the MSSU central campus, an instructor can be provided, if space and an agreed upon length and level of study can be developed. This option may be especially attractive for area businesses with a number of employees desiring English instruction.

 

Out of Country Instruction in English -

When requested by a non-US institution, the I.E.P. will attempt to provide standard courses or language camps in English at universities or schools overseas for limited periods of time. A contract between the host institution and MSSU-IEP needs to be completed before the instruction begins, and the host institution is expected to provide instructional classrooms and living accommodations for visiting instructors.

This option may be preferable in some regions of the world where obtaining visas to study in the US is difficult or impossible. MSSU began this new program at Yinghao College in China in 2005 in part to offset the difficulty international students have in coming to the US to study English under native speakers. A supplemental English Progam at Kuo Chi Senior Vocational High School in Taiwan was held Fall 2006.

A program of study can be structured according to the design of the IEP, and teaching materials will be provided by MSSU. Or the program can be structured according to the design of the host institution and teaching materials will be provided by the host institution.

Please note, this option is not designed to provide "English teachers" for a university's regular program.
