ETS Outreach Specialist

Missouri Southern State University is seeking an Outreach Specialist for the Education Talent Search Program. Teacher Education Coordinator


This is a 12-month, full-time professional staff position.  Responsibilities include: preparation and submission of state and federal reports, attend Missouri certification workshops as appropriate, reviews  teacher certification requirements for accreditation cycles and student completion of required professional coursework, presents certification information, survey and assessment results, produces semester and annual reports for the department of Teacher Education, records and distributes minutes for Teacher Education committees, tracks scores for the Missouri Content Assessment, evaluates transcripts for transfer students, assists with student advisement and enrollment, and is the teacher education liaison with institutions with articulated transfer agreements.  Coordination of these responsibilities is essential in maintaining program integrity. Qualifications:  master’s degree in education or a related field, successful teaching, counseling and/or administrative experience in pre K-12 schools, ability to work cooperatively with internal and external constituents, capacity to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, skills in utilizing technology, skills related to current assessment practices, and ability to represent the university in a professional manner.
