Missouri Southern State University is seeking applicants for one (1) Assistant Softball Coach. This position will assist the Head Softball Coach and Athletic Director in assigned areas. Coaching at practices, coaching at games, teaching proper skills and skill development as well as working individually with student-athletes will encompass at least 50% of this position’s time. Additional duties may include game travel, staff meetings, fundraising, community service and assisting with summer camps or other duties as assigned. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and successful coaching experience at the college or professional level. Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong attention to detail and experience in working with a diverse population. Current certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillator (AED) use is preferred at the time of hire, and will be required prior to participation in any countable athletically related activities as defined by the NCAA.
