Assistant Football Coach

Missouri Southern State University is seeking applicants for full-time Assistant Football Coach. This position will assist the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director in assigned areas which include but are not limited to: motivating and monitoring student athletes' academic performance; assisting with game-planning, video editing and evaluation; on-field instruction for offense, defense and in-the-kicking game; and assisting with summer camps.  View complete job description on this website. Assistant Women's Basketball Coach (Part-time)

Missouri Southern State University, a NCAA Division II member institution and a member of the Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach. 

The responsibilities of the assistant coach are to support the head coach in all phases of a highly competitive Division II women’s basketball program including but not limited to: practice, game preparation, conducting and planning training and conditioning schedules, team travel, teaching basketball fundamentals and strategies to student-athletes, and academic monitoring and mentoring. Qualifications include the following: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required, excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong attention to detail and experience in working with a diverse population. Current certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillator (AED) use is preferred at the time of hire and will be required prior to participation in any countable athletically related activities as defined by the NCAA. Competitive background in collegiate basketball preferred as well as one to two years of coaching experience at the club level or above. Candidate must have valid driver’s license and the ability to meet insurance requirements for driving university vehicles. Men's and Women's Assistant Cross Country Track and Field Coach

Missouri Southern State University, a NCAA Division II member institution and a member of the Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), is seeking applicants for the position Assistant Cross Country /Track and Field Coach. 

A major role of this position will be acting as the women’s program recruiting coordinator.  The responsibilities of recruiting coordinator will consist of organizing and keeping track of all women’s recruits, with an emphasis in recruitment of sprints and hurdle athletes of both genders.  This includes planning and implementing official and unofficial visits for prospective student-athletes, and organizing visits with the entire staff.   

Specific event responsibilities will be to assist the head coach in the areas of men’s and women’s sprint, hurdle, and multi-events. This includes but is not limited to; design and implementation of event-specific training, conditioning schedules, strength training, and injury prevention.  Responsibilities will also consist of meet management for home cross country, indoor and outdoor competition.  In addition, the candidate will work closely with the athletics academic advisor for continued student-success. Dance and Cheer Assistant Coach

Missouri Southern State University is currently seeking applications for a Dance & Cheer Assistant Coach. This person will assist the head coach with Dance and Cheer program operations. Assistant Athletic Trainers

 Missouri Southern State University is currently seeking applications for 3 Assistant Athletic Trainers. The Assistant Athletic Trainer position is a 10-month position, similar to an internship, starting on August 1st.  Assistants will be assigned 2 sports throughout the course of the year. Assistants will cover practices, and games for their assigned sport(s). During the typical school day, treatments will be administered in the morning from 812. Assistants will be expected to maintain appropriate records using NExTT, SportsWare, and ImPact.  Assistants will provide injury prevention, evaluation of all injuries, as well as treatment and rehabilitation as needed. Team travel is expected. Due to conference policy, athletic trainer certification is required to travel. Additional responsibilities are possible as assigned by the full-time staff. Compensation includes a $10,000 stipend per academic year, Missouri Licensure fees paid, with an option for health insurance.
