Directions to Competition                 From any hotel on Range Line Rd   Travel

Site                                                      approximately 3 miles north on Range Line Rd. past Northpark Mall to Newman Rd.  Turn right (east) on Newman Rd. and proceed (1 mile) to intersection of Newman and Duquesne Rds.  Continue driving east to team parking entrance.

 

Team Parking                                     Team parking is located north of the cross country course at the intersection of Newman & Duquesne Rds.  Team parking entrance is approximately 200 yds. east of intersection on Newman Rd. Follow team parking signs.

Preview Course                                  Thursday and Friday:  8:00 am   4:00 pm

                                                            Saturday         8:00 am   10:00 am

**NO warm up or cool down will be allowed on the course after 10:00  am on Saturday. Please advise your runners.

 

Restroom Facilities                            Restroom facilities and water will be available to athletes and coaches in the starting area.

Spectators must use the stadium facilities near the concession stand.

Sports Medicine Services                 Trainers will be available at the course.

Saturday         9:00 am until race completion. 

                                                            An ambulance and doctor will be on site race day.   

 

Full training room services can be accessed through door #6 of Leggett & Platt Athletic Center at the following times:

Thursday        8 am   5 pm

Friday             8 am   5 pm

Saturday         8 am   10 am

Any athlete needing treatment, other than an ice pack or heat pack must have a note from their Certified Athletic Trainer stating what treatment is to be performed. Notes may be faxed, e-mailed or hand delivered.

Starting Line and Finish Line            Athletes  personal belongings will be collected at

Information                                         the starting area and delivered to the collection area near the finish.  Numbers will be assigned for collection/claiming purposes.  Athletes do not need to return to the start area.

 

NCAA Mementos                              Athlete/Coach participation mementos will be available Friday night immediately following the Opening Ceremony at Young Gymnasium, Room 203.  Coaches will be issued a coupon to redeem athlete/coach participant mementos.

 

NCAA Merchandise                          Official NCAA Merchandise will be available for purchase (while supplies last) as follows:

Friday       1:00 pm - 4:00 pm      Holiday Inn.

Friday       7:00 pm   9:00 pm Leggett & Platt Athletic Center following the Opening Ceremony.

Saturday   9:00 am   1:00 pm  Hughes Stadium.

Awards Banquet                                 Saturday, November 17:  6:30 pm

                                                            (Adjacent [north] to the Holiday Inn at I-44 and S. Range Line)

Entertainment                                    For all athletes looking for further entertainment after the Awards
Banquet on Saturday Night, from 9 pm-midnight the Bridge will be open
for all cross country participants. With your colored wristband you will
only be charged $5 each to get in. The Bridge is located across from the
Holiday Inn Meet headquarters. The Bridge has climbing walls, video
arcades, and other entertainment for all ages.
 

 

Awards                                                Trophies will be presented to the top 4 teams and top 15 individuals at the Awards Banquet.  The National Athlete and National Coach of the year will also be recognized.

 

Opening Ceremony                            Friday:   7:00 pm

                                                            Leggett & Platt Athletic Center on MSSU Campus


Team participants should arrive at Young Gymnasium by 7:00 pm to line up for parade style entrance into Leggett & Platt Athletic Center at 7:30 pm.  All teams/individual qualifiers will be recognized for their participation in the 2007 NCAA Division II National Cross Country Championships.   Coaches and athletes will be seated following the parade. 

The USTFCCCA recognition of Regional Athletes/Coaches of the Year and the 2007 Hall of Fame Inductees will be announced.  At the conclusion of the ceremony, refreshments will be served to athletes while coaches pick up their mementos. There will be a t-shirt exchange following the Opening Ceremonies with high school athletes welcome to participate in, as well.

Please advise parents/spectators/fans that this is free
and open to the public.  Their attendance is encouraged and
their presence will be deeply appreciated.
