MSSU Baseball Fall Hitting Camp
Date: November 8, 15, 22 & December 6th (registration includes each of these dates)
Location: Young Gymnasium
Time: 9-12 yrs old will go from 4-5:30 on each of the before mentioned dates
        13-18 yrs old will go from 5:30-7:00 on each of the before mentioned dates
Cost: $120, includes four days of instructional hitting
*Limit of 20 athletes per age group* 
 
MSSU Baseball Winter Intensive Hitting Camp
Date: January 3rd & January 10th (registration includes each of these dates)
Location: Young Gymnasium
Time: 4:00-6:00
Cost: $75 which includes both hitting sessions

Missouri Southern Softball Team and Summer Skills Camp
Missouri Southern Softball Team Camp

The camp will run from 8:45 am to 3 pm each day on June 15-17. The goal of the camp is to improve the overall play of teams in the area. Instructional sessions will include morning and afternoon camp session dedicated to mini-clinics and team activities. The camp will cover all facets of the game. Special emphasis will be placed on hitting. Campers will receive instruction on infield and outfield play, throwing/catching, base running and team building techniques. Missouri Southern Softball Skills Camp

Missouri Southern will hold two summer skills camps this year with the Cub Camp for ages 6-12 and the lioness camp for ages 12-18. Both camps will be on June 22-24 with the cub camp going from 9 am to noon and the lioness camp going from 9 am to 4 pm. Click below for more info and for the registration form.

Volleyball - 2009 MSSU Monday Night Volleyball & School    
Each Monday night from January 26 through February 16, Missouri Southern volleyball coaches Chris Willis and Nicole Cirillo, along with a number of MSSU volleyball players, will offer the Missouri Southern Volleyball School. Campers will learn the fundamentals it takes to play volleyball at a high level and will get the opportunity to compete on a weekly basis.

The school is offered January 26, February 2, 9 and 16.

The cost is $15 per session, but if you plan on attending all four sessions, you pay only $50. Checks should be made payable to MSSU Volleyball.

The Junior High session (for grades 5-8) is held from 6-7:30 p.m. each Monday
listed above in the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center on the campus of Missouri Southern State University. The High School session (for grades 9-12) is held from 7:30-9 p.m. each Monday night listed above. Each session is limited to 42 athletes.

Monday Night Volleyball will be run by Missouri Southern Head Coach Chris Willis, Assistant Coach Nicole Cirillo, and a number of the Missouri Southern Volleyball players. The clinics will be run on April 6, 13, 20 and 27. You will spend the first 30 minutes in skill development and the final hour in competitive game situations.

Cost $15.00 per session. If you plan attending all four sessions, pay only $50.00!

Junior High (5th -7th grades): 6:00-7:30 p.m. in Leggett & Platt Gymnasium
High School (8th-12th grades): 7:30-9:00 p.m. in Leggett & Platt Gymnasium

Soccer - 2009 Missouri Southern Soccer Academy
July 20-23, 2009

Grades: K-4th (Boys and Girls)
Time: 8:00-9:30 a.m.

Grades: 5th-12th (Boys, 5-8th grade, as well)
(High School Girls ONLY, NO High School Boys)
Time: 3:00-5:00 p.m.

The goal of the Missouri Southern Soccer Academy is to teach age appropriate fundamentals of soccer and basic understanding of the game. The Academy will focus on drills and games to further develop the skills of each player.

Girls Basketball - 2009 Maryann Mitts Girls Basketball Camp

The 2009 Maryann Mitts Girls Basketball Camps will be held throughout the month of June at the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center on the campus of Missouri Southern State University. Here is a breakdown of the various camps:

Little Lion Camp (Kindergarten-4th Grade)
Check-in: Monday, June 8, 8:30 a.m.
Check-out: Wednesday, June 10, 12 p.m.
Cost: $40

Young Players Camp (5th-8th Grades)
Check-in: Thursday, June 11, 1-2:30 p.m.
Check-out: Saturday, June 13, 5 p.m.
Costs
Resident: $230, Commuter: $180

Shooting Camp (4th-12th Grades)
Check-in: Monday, June 15, 8:30 a.m.
Check-out: Monday, June 15, 3 p.m.
Cost: $80

High School Day Camp (9th-12th Grades)
Check-in: Sunday, June 21, 12 p.m.
Check-out: Sunday, June 21, 8 p.m.

Each camp will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Application, a COPY of physical, and payment in full are required two weeks prior to camp. Any cancellation two weeks prior to camp will be refunded, less a $25 handling fee. After the two-week period, refunds will be given for medical reasons only.

Boys Basketball - 2009 Robert Corn Basketball Camps  
The 2009 Robert Corn Basketball Camp, with instruction fro the Missouri Southern coaching staff and players as well as area high school coaches, will be held in late June and throughout the month of July. The goal of the camp is to offer the best in fundamental skills, the foundation of each player.

The camp includes 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games as well as individual contests in shooting, dribbling and free throws. Campers will be taught the importance of teamwork, defense and execution in a healthy, fundamental and fun environment.

The camp will be held in Missouri Southern's 3,200-seat, air-conditioned facility -- the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center as well as Robert Ellis Young Gym. Overnight campers will stay in dorms on campus and meals for the overnight campers will be provided on campus.

Grade 1-6 Day Camp - July 13-16 ... Cost: $145 per camper
Camp runs Monday-Thursday. Monday through Wednesday session is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday session dismisses at 12 noon. Campers are to bring their own sack lunches - camp provides a soft drink. Cost of the camp covers a souvenir T-shirt and basketball, plus secondary insurance.

Grade 10-12 Individual Camp - July 13-15... Cost $60 per camper
Camp runs daily from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Cost of the camp covers a souvenir T-shirt and basketball, plus secondary insurance.

Grade 7-10 Resident Camp - July 9-11 ... Cost: $195 per camper ($170 for commuting, or non-resident, campers)
Camp begins with check-in at 2 p.m. on July 9 and ends with check-out at 4 p.m. on July 11. Resident campers must provide all bedding and toiletries. Cost covers a souvenir T-shirt and basketball, plus secondary insurance (and two night's lodging and six meals for resident campers; four meals for non-resident campers).

A camp concession stand, in which the camper can purchase soft drinks or snacks, will be provided for all camps.

Camp contests and awards include a daily free throw champion, weekly free throw champion, hot shot contests, lay-up contests, dribbling contests, 3-on-3 contests and a daily attitude award.

2009 Lion Pride Football Camp  

Who: Children in grades 3-5 and grades 6-8
When: Thursday, July 16 (Grades 3-5) & Friday, July 17 (Grades 6-8)
Where: Fred G. Hughes Stadium (MSSU Campus)
Cost: $30 ($20 Dollar Deposit) (Make checks payable to MSSU Football)

Cost Includes: Skill instruction by MSSU coaching staff and players, non-contact game play, use of great facilities, and a free T-shirt and lunch in the MSSU dining hall.

Campers will receive instruction on fundamentals of football, position specific drills, and sportsmanship, in addition to game play throughout the camp.

The camp is under the direction of  MSSU head football coach Bart Tatum and his staff of Daryl Daye, Matt Karleskint, Mike Mutz, John Tatum, Matt Plunkett, Raleigh Jackson, JR Tatum, Brandon Smith, DeVon Lockett and Jared Elliott.

The Missouri Southern State University 2009 Offensive Line One-Day Football Camp is an opportunity for young men entering grades 8-12 to receive fundamental skill instruction in the following techniques:

RUN BLOCKING

     Principles of Run Blocking: Stance, Steps,
     Footwork, Aiming Point, Punch, Finish, etc.

     Drill Work to Increase Foot and Hand Speed:
     Demeanor Run, Sled, Chutes, etc.

2009 MSSU FOOTBALL MINI CAMP - Saturday, July 25, 2009

The Missouri Southern State University 2009 Mini Camp is designed for sophomore, junior and senior high school players who want a chance to receive instruction/evaluation from the MSSU staff. The camp will be a half day instruction combined with an NFL combine style workout. This instruction is designed for young men entering their sophomore, junior and senior year of high school. Campers will receive individual instruction and a camp T shirt. Arrive dressed in workout gear!

2009 MSSU FOOTBALL PASSING CAMP - June 5, 6, 7, 2009

The Missouri Southern State University 2009 Passing camp will consist of three, one-day camps where high school aged players will have the opportunity to further develop the skills necessary for proficiency in the passing game. Our camp, featuring MSSU full-time staff, as well as current quarterbacks and receivers, utilizes Fred G. Hughes Stadium (the Lions home facility) and implements the equipment and techniques practiced by the Lions daily. Quarterbacks will need to bring their own football and it will be marked with their initials during registration. Cost is $70 per day with a $50 deposit required.

2009 Children's Lifetime Sports Academy  
Applications are being accepted for the Children's Lifetime Sports Academy, held annually at Missouri Southern State University. The dates of the academy are June 8-11 from 12:30-5:00 p.m. All children, ages, 7-12, are welcome to attend.

The goal of the academy is to teach the skills and to promote the appreciation of selected activities (fishing, bowling, golf, frisbee, tennis, swimming, etc.) that can be played for fun, health and fitness throughout life.

A fee of $75 per child will cover the four days of instruction, use of facilities and equipment, insurance, and a T-shirt.
