Admission Requirements:

  • Must have a cumulative 2.00 GPA or higher

  • Must be in good standing at previous institution

Admission Process:

  1. Complete the application for admission.

  2. Pay the $15.00 non-refundable admission fee.

  3. Students must request that all official transcripts from previously attended institutions after high school be mailed directly to MSSU Admissions, 3950 E Newman Rd, Joplin, MO  64801.

  4. Students that earned college credit in high school (dual credit) have to provide an official transcript from that institution.

  5. ACT or MSSU placement tests must be taken if no math or English class has been completed prior to enrolling in those classes.

  6. Selected majors may require ACT scores on file before consideration into the formal programs.

  7. Students with a bachelor's degree need to provide the transcript from the institution that awarded the degree.

  8. If seeking scholarships or financial aid, a FAFSA must be completed.  Our school code is 002488.  In addition to federal aid, click here for information on transfer scholarship opportunities.
