Admissions

 

Transfer students are students that have earned credit after

high school from an accredited college or university.

 

Admission Requirements:

  • Must have a cumulative grade-point average of 2.00 or higher

  • Must be in good standing at their previous institution.

 

Admission Process:

  1. Complete the application.

  2. Pay the $15.00 nonrefundable admission fee.

  3. Students must request that all official college transcripts be mailed directly to the MSSU Admission Office, 3950 E Newman Rd, Joplin, MO  64801.

  4. ACT scores must be on file at MSSU - unless you have completed college math, English, and history.

  5. Selected majors may require ACT scores on file before consideration into the programs.

  6. Students with a bachelor degree need to provide the transcript from the institution that awarded the degree.

There are several ways for transfer students to obtain information about MSSU. We have an online Transfer Guide available to provide course equivalencies between MSSU and many area colleges.
