Programs and faculty
At Missouri Southern, you'll take specialized courses in your major
and also get a well-rounded education in the liberal arts. The Honors
Program, the Writing Program, the Student Research Program, internships
in the U.S. and abroad, a Professional Development class to prepare you
to enter the working world ... these special features of a Southern education
make you a competitive force in the job market.
Most Missouri Southern faculty have doctorates or terminal degrees
from some of the most prestigious universities in the U.S. and abroad.
Many are published authors and recognized authorities in their fields.
A professor will be your academic adviser and mentor, and each
professor holds at least 10 office hours per week to visit with
students about academic issues. You won't be taught by
graduate assistants.
