Incoming Freshmen

If you entering college for the first time and do not have college credit, you are an incoming freshmen.

 

Here are the steps a first time college student (under 21) needs to complete:

 

1. Completed application
2. Pay a $15.00 application fee
3. Submit a final school transcript with graduation date, rank in class and grade point average mailed directly from your high school
4. ACT scores on file at MSSU
5. English and Math placement are required

 

 

Academic Requirements

  • Students with an ACT composite score of 21 or higher are automatically admissible if they meet the other admission requirements. Students with a class rank in the top 50% of their high school graduating class are automatically admissible regardless of ACT score, as long as they meet other admission requirements. Students with an GPA of 2.25 or higher are admissible
  • Meet High School Core Requirements. More information on Core Requirements.
  • GED Students must have a ACT Composite score of 21 or above.

(Applications that do not meet the above academic requirements will automatically be reviewed by the Selection Committee)
