Selecting the perfect college for you is an exciting process of discovery. The best way to find the "right match" is to visit the campus and experience a typical day, meet faculty and students, and learn about the opportunities offered.

There are several ways to get acquainted with Southern. 

Discovery Days are dates set up throughout the school year that allow a prospective freshman (and/or parents) to tour campus, receive information on financial aid, housing, or other college services, and visit with faculty and students. You are welcome to schedule an individual tour below.  Discovery Day dates for the 2008-2009 school year will be set during the summer of 2008.  Check back to reserve your spot.

OR for student interested in transferring to MSSU we offer Transfer Information Program for Success.  TIPS are dates set up throughout the school year that allow a prospective transfer students from other colleges to receive information on financial aid, transferring college credit, and visit with our faculty. TIPS date for Fall 2007 is October 24th, 2007. Spring 2008 TIPS date is March 26th, 2008. Click here for more info and to register.

Regular Weekday Visits - Experience Southern during regular weekday visits or the first Saturday of every month. Campus tours meet in the Admissions office, Hearnes Hall, Room 109. Sign Up!

• 9:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday
• 10:00 am Monday, Wednesday and Friday
• 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.   
• No tours given May 12th, 2008 through June 16th, 2008.

These visits include:

• A campus tour given by a current student.
• The opportunity to speak to an admission counselor about admission requirements and financial aid.
• A chance to speak with a member of our faculty in your area of interest.  
• Dorms are included in the regular weekday tours from September through May
• Dorm rooms are not available for viewing during the Summer.

You can also schedule a visit for the first Saturday of every month, except during a holiday weekend.  They begin at 9:30 am in the Admissions Office in Hearnes Hall - Room 109.   An admission counselor will be available to answer your questions about admission requirements and financial aid, however faculty members will not be available.
