Edited by Kathryn Martell of Montclair State University and Thomas Calderon of the University of Akron, the book will be used by business schools to design assessment programs. The MSSU School of Business, accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs, is the only school without AACSB accreditation to be included in this project . Greg Buchholz, Business, coauthored a paper that appears in the January 2005 issue of the refereed Southern Economic Journal which has been published quarterly by the Southern Economic Association since 1933.The article, "The Campus Parking Game," was developed at the 2002 National Science Foundation Sponsored Workshop on Classroom Experiments in Economics which was held at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va. It uses the notorious lack of parking on most university campuses to demonstrate how the use of a multi-tiered pricing policy can sort people by their strengths of preferences and eliminate much of the frustration associated with finding a parking space before class. The game can be played in principles of microeconomics classes to illustrate the workings of price discrimination.
