Sandy was born in Indiana, but spent her formative years in Southern California. In 1994, her family relocated to Joplin. A late bloomer, she began her college career as a 35-year-old non-traditional student. From the first day she walked onto Missouri Southern’s campus, Sandy knew her life would be forever changed.
Sandy graduated from MSSU in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. She earned a Master of Science degree in Administrative Studies from Missouri State University in 2001. Today, Sandy is completing a PhD at Walden University. Her degree will be in Management with a specialization in Learning Management.

Rikki is a Joplin native who has finally come home. She graduated from Joplin High School in 1993. In December of 1996, Rikki earned a BA in English from Missouri Southern State College. Over the course of the next ten years, Rikki lived in both Memphis and Omaha. Several years of training and marketing for a large corporation followed her graduate coursework. Rikki loved working for a local non-profit in Joplin. She also gained valuable experience while working for an Oklahoma tribe. Currently, Rikki is finishing up her Master of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
