Assistant Director Admissions

MSSU is seeking candidates for the Assistant Director Admissions. This position oversees the freshman recruiting efforts of the University and supervises the freshman admission counselors. Responsibilities include managing a recruitment territory; counseling and advising students; developing an annual freshman recruitment plan including travel itinerary and recruitment calendar; developing and implementing direct mail recruitment campaigns; and serving on university committees. Master’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required with minimum five years work-related skill, knowledge or experience required.

Clinical Counselor/Academic Advisor

MSSU is seeking energetic, highly motivated and collaborative candidates for a Clinical Counselor/Academic Advisor position in the Advising, Counseling and Testing Services (ACTS) department. The Clinical Counselor/Academic Advisor provides licensed, professional clinical counseling to individuals, couples and groups for undergraduate students including education and health promotion; provides individual academic advising to undecided and at-risk students; and provides group educational and vocational guidance to students at the university. Position requires Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, psychology, counselor education, social work or closely related field. Licensed Professional Counselor status required or LCSW. Minimum 2 years in a university counseling center or comparable mental health setting, plus excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Valid driver’s license required.

Director Assessment and Institutional Research

The Director of Assessment and Institutional Research will provide leadership in the design, development, implementation and evaluation of institutional and organizational effectiveness, research, strategic, tactical and operation planning, assessment, accreditation, and student learning outcomes. Duties include but are not limited to day-to-day management of all aspects of the Center for Assessment and Institutional Research, planning and implementing overall goals, objectives and tasks, and managing the department budget and expenditures.
