The International English Program at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri, seeks applicants for a 10-month, non-tenure track faculty position, with the possibility of renewal, at the rank of instructor or assistant professor beginning in August 2014. Responsibilities include teaching classes in grammar, composition,  speaking and listening, and reading and vocabulary; advising international students in the IEP; and assisting the director in other duties as they relate to the program, such as testing and curriculum development. The ability to independently create assessments that meet course objectives is highly desirable. A Master’s degree
in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) or related field required; areas of specialization are open but candidates able to teach multi-level and multi-skill classes will be given special consideration. Screening will begin immediately and continue until a qualified candidate is selected.  Applicants should include a letter of application, curriculum vitae, unofficial transcripts, and three letters of reference. Official transcripts are required 45 days after contract is issued. Seeking an Adjunct instructor(s) to teach on campus in the area(s) of International English Program beginning August 2014. Must have a Master's degree in the related discipline area. Certification in certain fields may also be accepted depending on subject matter.
