The Department of Art at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri, seeks applicants for an Art Educator, 10-month, non-tenure track faculty position, with the possibility of renewal, at the rank of instructor or assistant professor beginning in August 2014. Qualifications: M.F.A. or M.Ed. in Art preferred, M.A. in Art will be considered. K-12 educational system art teaching experience preferred. Teaching responsibilities include teaching primary and secondary methods courses, K-12 Art Education theories and practices, department foundation course, student advising, supervising student teachers, and encouraging student involvement in local, state and national professional development.
