My Bio: I have lived in Joplin, MO all my life. I couldn’t have asked for a better town to grow up in! I graduated from MSSU on May 21^th, 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. Shortly after graduation I became an Admissions Counselor for MSSU and have loved every bit of it. I look forward to bringing new students to MSSU and watch this University grow!

We also offer online and distance learning opportunities for those students who live far away or feel more comfortable taking classes in an online setting.

Internship Opportunities:

Through MSSU’s Service-Learning Internship, a professional in the community mentors a student as that student serves a community organization in a pre-professional position. Students receive the guidance and professional development opportunities of a traditional internship while community organizations are less burdened in supervisory roles.
You can also pursue internships in more specialized fields such as a Legislative Internship at the Missouri Capitol, Clinical Experience at our local Hospitals and realistic clinical experience in our new state of the art Health Sciences Facility.
Various other on hands experiences & opportunities are offered through our other academic departments.

Everyone and everything on this campus is here to help you to succeed. Through Missouri Southern you are able to make your college experience your own. We have around 60+ Campus Organizations ranging from Student Senate, Campus Activities Board, Greek Life, Chemistry Club, and more. If for some reason you cannot find an organization that fits you then you can create your own. There is constantly something happening on campus. We have campus picnics! We have comedians! We have academic and international speakers! We have more than you can imagine
