It's easy to become a student at Missouri Southern.

Admission requirements depend on your age and educational background.

The following information is for citizens or permanent residents of the United States.

Admission Process

The admission process should begin in the fall of your senior year in high school. Here's our suggested admission timeline:

September through December

January through March

April through July

Admission Requirements for Current High-School Students and Graduates under 21

Once your application packet is complete, it will be reviewed to see if you meet admission requirements.
Applications packets that do not meet the following requirements automatically go to the review committee.

To be admitted you must have:

Common Core Requirements

English/Language Arts - 4 units 
Social Studies - 3 units 
Mathematics - 4  units
Science - 3 units 
Fine Arts - 1 unit 
Additional Coursework - 3 units 
Electives - 6 units 

Submit your high school-transcript. It must:

Provide ACT/SAT scores
Check with your high school to see if your scores are included on your transcript. If they are NOT on your transcript, contact  ACT to have a copy sent to MSSU.

These scores will be evaluated for a rank in class equivalency. If you do not have a copy of your GED certificate with scores, you will need to contact the state in which you were tested.
