JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - The Missouri Southern Foundation announces the hiring of two new development officers for major gifts.
Michelle Ducre (pictured at left) most recently served as regional development director for the Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO). Prior to that she had served as the executive director of the Community Foundation of Southwest Missouri, which is an affiliate of CFO. During her time with CFO she facilitated fund development for seven community foundations and managed more than $10 million in assets that came from disaster recovery, endowments, bequests, donor advised funds, and scholarships.
Ducre was the executive director of the Community Clinic in Joplin before her work with CFO. She holds a master's degree from Pittsburg State University and a bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University.
Elisa Bryant (pictured at right) is a 2004 graduate of Missouri Southern State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing. She has served as alumni relations coordinator for the MSSU Alumni Association since her graduation. During this time she worked with a variety of alumni activities, including marketing efforts, grants, special events, and board relations. Twice she was recognized by her colleagues for her superior work by being named recipient of the Superior Service Award in 2007 and the Southern Service Champ in 2012.
"We're excited to have Michelle and Elisa joining our team," said JoAnn Graffam, executive director of the Missouri Southern Foundation. "They both come with experience and knowledge, as well as a passion for helping Missouri Southern students achieve success."
Both will assume duties with the Foundation on Monday, January 14, 2013. The Missouri Southern Foundation raises funds in support of the students and mission of Missouri Southern State University.
