“Outstanding Alumni” to Speak to Students

JOPLIN, MO (SNS) – Three individuals chosen as "Outstanding Alumni" by the Missouri Southern State University Alumni Association, will speak on campus on Friday, Oct. 5.
Mike Moore, '87, president of WalMart Central Division, and Bryan Vowels, '92, Wells Fargo branch manager, will deliver an overview lecture at 9 a.m. in Cornell Auditorium in Plaster Hall.

Carol Parker, '54, KSN TV program host, will speak at 11 a.m. in the KGCS-TV television studio in Webster Hall to a Public Relations class taught by Judy Stiles.
All three will be recognized at the MSSU's 75th Anniversary Homecoming Picnic on the MSSU Oval around 11:40 a.m. this Friday.

"It's our feeling that our students will richly benefit by hearing these three former students who have accomplished so much in their lives," said Lee Elliff Pound,  Alumni Association Director.

Pound says this will be the second year for Outstanding Alumni to speak to classes.
