Dowe Quick

Dowe Quick graduated from Central Missouri State University wtih a double major in Journalism and in Broadcasting/Film in 1980.  While attending the university, Dowe worked as a documentary film producer and editor for KMOS-TV, was a news reporter for the campus radio station, and an editor for the campus magazine. 

He has been employed by KOAM-TV since October 1980, working first as a reporter, photographer and weekend anchor.   Dowe has been the evening news anchor at KOAM-TV since January 1985.  He is also the Executive Producer of KOAM news. 

Dowe has received the Kansas Association of Broadcasters Sonny Slater Award for service to Station and Community and the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for Investigative Reporting.  He has received numerous other spot news, feature, enterprise and investigative reporting awards from Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma Broadcasting Associations. 

He is a frequent participant and fundraiser in many charitable events and often addresses area civic and school groups.

Dowe and his wife Kay have been married since 1986 and have three children.
