Career Services

Education Majors

Job search in education requires flexibility
Some school systems require a credential file submitted via the Career Services Office while others require transcripts and letters of recommendation uploaded with an on-line application.

Early preparation is key
MSSU Career Services recommends that students create two credential files.  One personal that is self-manage and one managed by the Career Services Office with closed recommendations.  Schools requesting credential packets value closed recommendations.

When requesting a letter of recommendation, ask for a personal copy sent to a personal e-mail address and a closed copy sent to credentialfile@mssu.edu.

This will allow students to prepare for all application scenarios.  If an employer requests a credential file or packet sent directly to them, fill out the request form below.
