International English Program

International English Program

The International English Program (IEP) welcomes students from all over the world to learn English in an academic setting. Instruction is offered to improve speaking, listening, writing, and reading skills, for academic, professional, or personal needs. The program uses both classroom based and natural English learning situations to help students learn English through English use in comfortable, authentic settings.

  • English for Academic Purposes (EAP) is an intensive program for those seeking admission to MSSU and other post-secondary U.S. institutions. EAP, established in 1999, is a university credit-based program. Full time enrollment is 15 credits/semester with 21 hours/week direct instruction.
  • English Support Services are available to students and non-students. Support services include part time English studies, tutoring, and conversational partnering. Special courses in pronunciation, reading, public speaking and language testing are available.
