Teaching Pillars

 

Admission to the Teacher Education Program

The following steps are required for tentative admission into the Teacher Education Program:

  1. Declare your major as teacher education and successfully complete 55 semester hours of prescribed course work
  2. Pass all sections of the state required entrance exam-MoGEA (formerly CBASE) exempt with BS or BA degree
  3. Complete the Missouri Education Profile Assessment
  4. Have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 in all course work
  5. Have a composite ACT enhanced score of 20
  6. Request a Faculty Recommendation from MSSU faculty member (available on LIONET)

Application for Tentative Admission

Prior to application, PLEASE ensure:
  • transcript information &
  • passing ACT scores are submitted to the MSSU Admissions Office
  • pass all areas of state required entrance exam MoGEA
  • complete the Missouri Educator Profile Assessment
