Continuing Education Classes

Students must have enrolled and have paid for the course BEFORE the first class meeting. In cases where the class size is limited, students are enrolled based on the order they enrolled and paid for the class. If an email address is provided on the form, students will recieve email confirmation of successfull registration in the course. If the class is cancelled due to lack of enrollment, students who provide an email address will be notified by email.

  2. Complete the form either either online or by hand.
  3. If paying by check, please make check payable to Missouri Southern State University - CE. Mail the completed form and check to:

This course teaches the Six Sigma approach to business improvement. Dozens of six sigma improvement tools and techniques are taught. This course enables individuals to earn Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Topics covered include six sigma fundamentals, DMAIC model, project management, team effectiveness, project charter, process mapping, customer analysis, data collection plans, descriptive statistics, histograms, statistical process control, capability analysis, Pareto charts, root cause analysis, scatter plots, and measurement systems analysis. This course builds on the MSSU Six Sigma Green Belt course. Course topics include failure mode effects analysis, industrial experimentation, hypothesis testing, general factorial designs, 2^k designs, fractional factorial designs, decision analysis, and response plans. Dates: June 30 – July 3, 2014 plus Aug 11–14, 2014  (8 days of training). Participants may meet periodically for optional project reviews after the classroom training is completed. Such project reviews are optional and are typically scheduled for a couple of hours on Friday afternoons (once/month) until the project is completed.
