The Robert W. Plaster School of Business Administration at MSSU is excited to host Jennifer Rogers-Etcheverry at the annual SOBA Executive Lecture Series in November.
Jennifer is President of My Husband’s Nuts, a Bakersfield, CA based company specializing in seasoned and candied almonds. Jennifer travels nationally speaking about women entrepreneurism and her family legacy—her great-grandfather was comedian cowboy Will Rogers. With her unique humor and down to earth style, Jennifer shares her extraordinary story about the process of becoming an entrepreneur, touching upon the ups and downs of business.
Join us so you can be inspired too by a dynamic business woman! Jennifer will speak Thursday, November 3 at 9:30 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. in Cornell Auditorium in Plaster Hall on the MSSU campus.
Jennifer Rogers-Etcheverry is a great grand-daughter of Will Rogers. Jennifer has been involved in the Rogers family business since 1991 and now serves as the family Exspokesperson and media contact. She travels throughout the year to promote the legacy of Will Rogers, including riding in the Rose Parade with "Sons and Daughters of the Reel West." Jennifer is a founding director of the Will Rogers Ranch Foundation; is a member of Friends of Will Rogers in Claremore, Oklahoma; is an advisory board member for the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation; and is a long-time member of the National Cowboy Hall of Fame.
Six years ago, after many years of hardship in her husband’s farming business she entered the world as a woman entrepreneur and created her own almond company selling her husband’s almonds. It is appropriately named, My Husband’s Nuts. Over the past 6 years, her company has grown into over 20 states and has gained national recognition including an appearance on ABC’s The View.
Because of the popularity of her business along with Will Rogers, Jennifer has combined the two and travels nationally with a speech unlike any other. Combining the wit and wisdom of her great grand-father and the name of her company you are sure to be entertained and leave with a smile on your face!
Jennifer resides in Bakersfield, California with her husband of 22 years and two teenage children.
