Webster Hall

Webster Hall is named in memory of Richard M. Webster, Carthage, a Missouri State Senator who was instrumental in gaining legislative support for Missouri Southern State University. The building is home to several programs and departments including Communication and Social Sciences. Southern's prestigious Honors Program is in Webster Hall, as well as Lifelong Learning, the Graduate Center of Joplin, the International Language Resource Center, the Institute of International Studies, the campus newspaper, The Chart. Webster Hall is the location for Southern's state-of-the-art television station, KGCS-LP, seen on cable systems and on Channel 22, and 88.7KXMS/Fine Arts Radio International, heard around the world on the Internet at KXMS.ORG. The 400-seat Webster Hall Auditorium is the site for many lectures and programs.
