Brazilian Independence Day

7:00-8:00 p.m. Soccer game: students vs. faculty
8:00-9:00 p.m. Contests with prizes awarded

Brazil declared its independence from Portugal on Sept. 7, 1822. The day will be celebrated in the ways Brazilians know best: food, music, soccer, and dance. There will be a Brazilian meal served in Mayes Dining Hall followed by a soccer game between the students and faculty. There will be contests and prizes throughout the night. Come join the celebration!
