- High Risk Warrant Service:
Tuesday, February 23, 2010
- Missouri Southern State University presents this Missouri P.O.S.T Approved Training Course. Law enforcement agencies of every size have observed a nationwide increase in narcotic activity. Those who distribute narcotics have become more sophisticated and better armed. In addition to weapons that offer high/sustained firepower, these peddlers of dangerous drugs have taken steps to protect their property by fortifying structures. These fortified structures make it difficult for standard narcotic enforcement teams to enter before crucial evidence can be destroyed. Many Departments found it necessary to assign this type of mission to better-trained better-equipped special operation teams commonly referred to as tactical teams. This course will apply 8 hours to Technical Studies.

- Hostage Rescue Tactics:
Tuesday March 30, 2010
- Missouri Southern State University presents this Missouri P.O.S.T Approved Training Course. This course will introduce officers to Hostage Rescue Tactics to include individual team member responsibilities, hostage handling and evacuation procedures. These tactics separate a special weapons team from conventional tactics used by patrol and/or detectives. In order for a special weapons team to be proficient with these techniques, maintenance training should occur frequently. This course will apply 8 hours to the Technical Skills Area.
