Choosing the right university is a tough decision. At Southern, we make this decision easier by providing several different housing styles from which to choose. We offer a variety of activities and entertainment in addition to providing a great environment to live and learn. Your surroundings will be comfortable, pleasant, and have convenient access to everything on campus. When you arrive, you will meet other students from all across the United States and other parts of the world.
A place to stay is not all the Residence Life Department has to offer. Recreation and relaxation should be a part of your time spent on campus. We offer students the means to have a good time in addition to an excellent educational experience.
The residence halls open their doors for the Fall 2013 semester on Thursday, August 15th at 8:00 a.m. This is the first day that students may check-in.
No appointment is necessary. You may check -in any day (Thursday thru Sunday). Staff will be available from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. Failure to check-in before 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 19th may forfeit your room and contract and another student may then be placed in your space.
During check-in, a member of the housing staff will show you to your room, review important information, give you keys, and answer any questions.
All students living on campus must have record of meningitis shot or waiver on file with the University health center before moving into the residence halls.
