Lion Pride Weekend 2016:
Lion Pride Weekend is for all new MSSU students. The weekend is packed with activities to help you meet new friends, explore campus, and learn what it means to be a LION!

Schedule of Events:

Thursday, August 18th-Sunday, August 21st  
8:00 AM-11:00 PM Residence Hall Check In (No appointments necessary.)

7:00 PM-8:30 PM Evening Social and Bingo for students living in residence halls

 Friday, August 19th 
9:00 AM -11:00 AM Beimdiek Rec Center Open House
Trainers will be on hand to show you how to use the machines.
        Yoga and Zumba classes will be offered during this time.     
  Come play:     3X3 Basketball           3x3 Dodge ball             3X3 Volleyball  

11:00 AM-12:00 PM Roary’s De-classified College Survival Guide-Phelps Theater
Join Roary and his assistants for a fast paced Q&A session.  You will learn 'insider' information about MSSU and helpful hints that will make your transition to MSSU a successful one!    

1:00 PM-3:00 PM Scavenger Hunt ,  Lion’s Den
Come be a part of a team where you can win fabulous prizes!

8:30 PM Outdoor movie, Captain America: Civil War – McCormick Courtyard 
8:00 PM -9:00 PM Ice Cream will be served 


Saturday, August 20th     
2:00 PM First-Year Student  Convocation   – Taylor Performing Arts Center
Freshmen will learn about MSSU's traditions, receive a medallin and t-shirt and be a part of the 2016 freshmen class picture which will be displayed in Hearnes Hall.  (Freshmen will walk across the stage to accept his or her medallion on stage.  Dress is business casual.)
3:30 PM Reception  – The Oval
9:00 PM – 11:00 PM  Glo-ga Party – Student Life Center Basement
PUt on your togas and join the Greeks for great mucisc provided by a live DJ and find out what Greek Life at Missouri Southern is all about.  Black/light glow in the dark theme!  First 50 students get a free toga.


Sunday, August 21st 
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Campus Craze  – The Oval 
Enjoy music, refreshments & giveaways.  Join a campus club and larn about our campus organizations. 
7:00 PM-8:00 PM Comedian: Jessi Campbell to perform – The Oval
