What is a Learning Community?
A Learning Community is a group of courses that students take together. Learning Communities are comprised of a University Experience 100 course (required for all first-year students) and one or two general education or major requirements.
In addition to attending classes, students enrolled in a learning community also participate in social activities together (the photo is an example). Being a part of a Learning Community is a great way to make friends and form study groups with like-minded students.
Instructors in the Learning Communities are committed to student success.
Students who enroll in a Learning Community are more likely to stay in school and graduate.
