Job Posting Guidelines

All employers must follow the principles for employment professionals established by The National Association of Colleges and Employers. Employers not meeting these guidelines will not be allowed to post positions or attend career fairs.
*Due to state and federal reporting guidelines for higher education, all jobs in Hire a Lion default to a 30-day posting period. After the 30-day posting period has elapsed, your business will be contacted to confirm whether the position is still open or has been filled

Internship Guidelines

There have been some recent standards passed by the department of labor regarding unpaid internships. The National Association of Colleges and Employers has put together a list of guidelines to make the regulations easier to understand.

All the following criteria must be met:

If these criteria are followed, it is the opinion of the National Association of Colleges and Employers that the experience can be considered a legitimate internship. If all of these criteria cannot be met, you will need to post the position as either volunteer, or pay minimum wage
