The Missouri Southern State University Orientation Program is committed to the success of new students.  We have many different programs designed to help students make the transition to college life

 

The Fresh Start Program

Fresh Start is a required summer orientation and enrollment program for all first time Freshman.  There are sessions for traditional and non-traditional aged students.

The Freshman Orientation Class

College Orientation is a required eight-week course for all first time Freshman.  There are sections specific for traditional students, student athletes, honors students and non-traditional students.

Leadership Training

Leadership Training - (Psy 498) is the course required for student leaders prior to teaching the College Orientation Class..  Students teaching receive 2 hours of Psy 498 credit the first time they teach and 1 hour the second time they teach.

How to Become an Orientation Leader

Students interested in becoming College Orientation Leaders my complete a three-phrase process and meet certain academic criteria.

Orientation Recruitment Begins in  October for the 2005-2006 Orientation Staff.  Stop by the Student Support Center for an Application!
